Housing Information for Winter Break

Stockton Community,

As we rapidly approach another end to a semester, Residential Life wanted to make you aware of some important options that are open to students who have finals on the last day of the semester, are graduating, or would like to stay for winter break. Students may request a 24 hour extension to move out of their housing location if they have a final on December 11, 2012. Graduating seniors are permitted to stay until Sunday, December 16, 2012 until 6:00PM in order to move out. Also, students who would like to stay over the winter break may apply, however they must pay a $20 per day rate for the winter break. If a student cannot afford the $20 per day rate and has nowhere to go please have them contact me to explore available options. Students, primarily freshmen, who live in Housing 2 or 3 are not permitted to stay for winter break due to a lack of a kitchen in their room. However, if a student in Housing 2 or 3 does not have a place to go for the winter break, please have them contact me and I can explore alternative arrangements. Students can complete an electronic form to for extended stay, graduation, or for winter break by clicking on the link below. Please let any students you know about these options Residential Life provides. Thank you again for your support throughout the semester.

Open Mic

For those of you who wanted to do an open mic, there’s the Dante Hall open mic series. There’s also an open mic series, Andrea says, at the Campus Center Coffee House–there’s one tomorrow night at (Friday the 12th) on Bivisibility.

You should also sign up for the NJ Poetry listserv on Yahoo: you’ll get notices of all the open mics in Atlantic County in your inbox. (And more, actually).

We’ll have a reading of the class’ work at the end of term. That’ll be fun.

To find the poems for workshopping, please go to the homework page and look up the homework for this coming Tuesday, 10/2.

It is very early on Sunday and I will be getting on a plane soon for about 6-8 hours so I am posting the first four peoples’ poems so that you can print and comment on them if you have a block of time for that today.
